Tokyo Olympics: Equestrian Fouaad Mirza placed 22nd in cross-country round

It has been so far an average outing for the Indian equestrian in the Tokyo Olympics 2020. Fouaad Mirza, India's lone equestrian in the competition, has finished 22nd following the conclusion of the cross-country round on Sunday. The Indian scored 11.20-time penalties following a clear cross-country round, while his total has reached 39.20. He finished the run in just over eight minutes. On Saturday, he produced an excellent performance in the dressage round, finishing ninth, while with over 28.00 penalty points, he was placed sixth on Friday. Mirza has one more event to compete in, the show jumping, as he and his horse Seigneur Medicott needs to finish within the top 25 to compete in the individual jumping final. As of now, Oliver Townend of Great Britain is placed on the top, with no time penalties (23.60 points), followed by Julia Krajewski of Germany (25.60 points) and Laura Collett of GB (25.80 points).
