Security has been heightened at three major railway stations in Mumbai and Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan's bungalow after the police received an anonymous bomb threat call from a person. A police official was quoted in a PTI report saying that Mumbai police's main control room reportedly received the call on Friday night, in which the caller said that bombs have been placed at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT), Byculla, Dadar railway stations and at actor Amitabh Bachchan's bungalow in Juhu. “After getting the decision, the Government Railway Police, Railway Protection Force alongside the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad, dog squads and native police personnel rushed to those locations and carried out a search operation,” the police official said. “Nothing suspicious has been found so far at these places, but heavy police deployment has been put in place, he said, adding that further investigation is on.” Later Mumbai police, during a statement confirmed that it had been a hoax call. “Police room received a call last night, threatening that bombs were placed at four locations across Mumbai. The search was done by the Police, bomb squad, and GRP team. In the probe, it had been found to be a hoax call. Police team checking out the caller and his location,” the statement read. The police are further investigating to identify the caller and trace his location.
