ICC World T20 2021: 3 Indians who could be dropped due to IPL 2021 underperformance

Team India is set to participate in the 2021 ICC World T20, starting October 17 in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Oman. Ahead of the tournament, the players are preparing hard by taking part in the second leg of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021, which is currently underway in the gulf and marks as ideal preparation for the global event.

The squad for the Indian side was announced earlier this month. However, changes can still happen in the side until October 10, as per the International Cricket Council (ICC) guidelines.

Meanwhile, three players from India's WT20 side are supposedly under the national selectors' radar. They could miss out on their spot in the squad due to their underperformance in the ongoing IPL.

All-rounder Hardik Pandya has been in a shaky form with the bat before he bounced back with an unbeaten 40 for Mumbai Indians (MI) on Tuesday against Punjab Kings. However, he needs to be consistent with it, while his fitness has also been a concern, as he has limited his bowling abilities.

Alongside his MI teammates, Suryakumar Yadav and Ishaan Kishan have also failed to deliver with the bat. Also, seamer Bhuvneshwar Kumar has not delivered efficiently with the ball, while he seems to be missing the edge that terrified the batsmen.
