BARSHA brings theme-based Durga Puja to Bengaluru; Bhaskar Rao goes gaga over culture and more

Every year, during Durga Puja, mini Kolkatas spring up in cities across India. Even though festivities last hardly for five days, the Bangalis (Bengal natives) in metros outside West Bengal usher in the vibes of the City of Joy in their style in their cities. Bengaluru is now called the second home of many Bengalis; hence, the city hosts numerous Durga Puja.

Likewise, in BARSHA, one of Bengaluru's popular Durga Puja associations has come up with a theme called ‘Where Rural Bengal meets Karnataka’ where the Durga idol will be kept inside a structure, which represents Karnataka-styled houses. It has also organised a yummy Durga Bhog for the devotees. Former Police Commissioner of Bengaluru, Bhaskar Rao, was also present in the pandal with his friends and sought Durga Maa's blessing. He also talked about both Bengal and Karnataka's culture and more. Watch the video to get a feel of Durga Puja.
